You are lucky when, every once and a while, you are able to see the world around you in a very different way…to see it lift out of its ‘normal’ and into the sublime.
I pass the Scituate Reservoir twice daily in my commute to and from work and on this one day it just blossomed with a different light, a different air, a different soul. Luckily I had my camera with me…

Oh – Man! These images are stunning; nothing short of stunning. I am so pleased that you are able to pass this on the way to work. From time to time, I experience this … “sense”, for lack of better word … as I see the wilderness and / or a sunset, etc., and I listen to my heart and soul and stop in the midst of the hurryness … and take a picture … and later on, I am glad that I did. I must mention one more thing, John. Your words at the beginning: “You are lucky when, every once and a while, you are able to see the world around you in a very different way…to see it lift out of its ‘normal’ and into the sublime.” I echo your words, here. I am truly thankful that I can (sometimes) see differently. I don’t remember where I saw these words: “Then we shall see clearly” … May have been a book title; may have been a quote. Peace.

Fog, sunlight filtering through trees surrounding an expanse of water, these are the ingredients for a great shot, and you used them very nicely throughout these photos.
That is so very kind of you, thank you! To be honest, to me, 80% of the photograph seems to be just being there to get it at all. I was lucky I caught it at the precise moment and that everything came together so well. 🙂
