Sunday River 2

Here are the rest of the photos from our Sunday River ski excursion in Maine. Here is the first set.

Before viewing the photographs, I would also like to invite you to visit the poetry blog, the Book of Pain. As always, special thanks to my dearest spouse Lyn, who does most of the hard part: the photo selections. Thank you for dropping by the Book of Bokeh.

The energy footprint must be massive, but the heated pool and outdoor hot tub were marvelous…especially after a long day of skiing and even more especially using them during a blizzard! I am not sure that I would have been able to face skiing the next day, without them…

Snowshoeing…one of the more fun ways to get around during the winter!

Hey, Darwin on the Rocks: notice the big steel triangular ice crampon ‘teeth’ under Lyn’s foot. I think you were missing those on your excursion.

I can never turn down a chance at a window reflection selfie. (Especially when the window is double paned.) Notice the ‘rain bag’ over the camera, with the drawstring to get it tight over the lens. That thing worked great! Highly recommended.

    • Thank you so much. I know and admire your work very much and that means a lot, especially coming from you. And yes, it was cold and has only got colder since! 🙂 But that is winter in New England. Wait until you see the next batch! 🙂

    • That rain bag thing was a whimsical, accidental buy…but has turned out to be of great value the two or three times I needed it. Yes, highly recommended!

    • Thank you so much. Coming form a photographer of your experience, that means a lot! 🙂 Yes, in fact, we had a ball…the skiing was at times challenging and at times smooth as silk, but we were together and that was the main thing! 🙂

    • Thank you so very much, dear! The sad truth is that my penchant for photographing myself in windows (while trying to make the rest of the reflection interesting) is that it is a terrible habit bought on by some character flaw in my personality. Unfortunately, another character flaw I seem to have is that I don’t care…I keep taking them anyways! 🙂
