Macros 3 – Pottery Barn

IMG_5493

Our last store that day was Pottery Barn, which for a photographer who loves textures, is like being in heaven! Thanks so much to the lovely staff at the Garden City store for letting me take some gorgeous shots there!

Before viewing the photographs, I would also like to invite you to visit the poetry blog, the Book of Pain. As always, special thanks to my dearest Lyn, who does most of the hard part: the photo selections. Thank you for dropping by the Book of Bokeh.

    • Thank you dear! I am on an extended break during the holidays, hence the lateness and rudeness of this response. In the meantime, I hope that you have had a healthy, happy and safe Holiday season also! See you (more often) in the new year! 🙂

    • Thank you so much! Pottery Barn is a home decoration store, so they go ALL OUT for Christmas. I was lucky that they let me shoot there. 🙂 Happy Holidays to you!

  1. Textures, it is. I loved the red texture of the wrapping paper and the pines and the jute and…everything. I understand the weirdo part but you were great. I take off even if two people stare at me.

    • Me too! So glad that you like them! They were a lot of fun to take and the store staff was really gracious about it. I had a ball, to be honest. 🙂

    • Thank you very much! I appreciate your dropping by the Book of Bokeh. Please come again…especially if you are going to say such nice things! 🙂

    • Wow, Bonnie, with writing like that, you really should consider becoming an emotive, empathetic, rich, cultured, tasteful, reflective, honest, strong, decisive, clear and deep thinking poet. You got potential! Oh, wait! Actually, that’s what you are already!

Thank you for such kind words! 🙂

    • I am ashamed to tell you how many photos of that thing I actually took because I knew I had to get one that was ‘right’. Same with the ‘Joy’ ornament I found right after it. People were starting to leave the store because of the weirdo over in the corner was muttering over and over, “I gotta get this, I have to get this, please let me get this!!!” 🙂

      • Hahaha, oh I can almost imagine the scene. Aren’t we the same in a book store as well?
It shows your dedication, my friend, which reflects in the pictures you take! Incredible!
Also, as decided, we can correspond via e-mail soon, about buying the much awaited camera. 🙂

        • Oooohhh, thank you! I am so excited…I love thinking about, discussing, worrying over and enjoying buying more equipment! But the best part, is that this time it is on someone else’s dime!!! Win/win/win!! 🙂 🙂

Do you still have my email address? Anytime you are ready…
