Quaddick Park

IMG_6124_5_6_7_8

Connecticut is blessed with a large number of parks, many on the beach and even more inland. Quaddick State Park, one of the inland parks, is both close to Putnam and the border of Rhode Island. It is a lovely, family oriented place with a nice beach and lovely picnic grounds. I hope you like these photos taken there one afternoon.

Before viewing the photographs, I would also like to invite you to visit the poetry blog, the Book of Pain. As always, special thanks to my dearest Lyn, She Of Great Taste In All Things But Men, who does most of the photo selection. Thank you for dropping by the Book of Bokeh.

    • Thank you so much, that is very kind of you! That shot was interesting to get. The sun was drifting behind big white clouds and I set up that table shot (I was using a tripod and trying to get it dead center) and tore it down 3 times waiting and then missing the sun, before I finally got it in the dappled light that I wanted. I need to learn patience, and I need it right now! 🙂

      • I can understand sometimes patience tears us apart to get that right angle or right colour or right whatever. But we need patience. When in three shots if I don’t get what I want and if there is still something missing I just know that today is not the day. 😉
