Sunflowers 2

This post completes the “Can’t ever have me too many sunflower photographs” ethos that I started with the first post of these beauties grown at Buttonwood Farm.

My experience is that I have never seen a whole field of sunflowers all pointing at the sun, just groups here and there. I joked about that in the comments of my previous post and one of my correspondents, Inesephoto (please check out her wonderful photography site, Ines MJ Photography) replied:

It makes sense because the whole field cannot get the sun rays at the same angle, so only some groups of flowers behave the same way.

Thank heavens that is explained! In any event, following the sun or not, I hope you enjoy these sunflower photos!

Before viewing the photographs, I would also like to invite you to visit the poetry blog, the Book of Pain. As always, special thanks to my dearest Lyn, She Of Great Taste In All Things But Men, who does most of the photo selection. Thank you for dropping by the Book of Bokeh.

    • You are very, very welcome! I am so glad that you are enjoying the site. It does my heart good to know that there are people who enjoy my photography so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    • Aren’t they just lovely?! There is something so warm and ‘sunny’ about them that makes you want to smile. The farm sells all the flowers in bouquets of 4 or 5 to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation. So, happily, you even get to take some sunshine home with you. That’s always fun.

    • Thank you, you are very kind to take the time to leave such a compliment! Luckily, the sunflowers did all the hard work. All I had to do was point a camera at them and click the button. Mr. Canon did all the rest! 🙂

      • Thank you! You have such an artistic photography viewpoint that improve and increase the value of your pictures ! So that gives to your pictures an amazing perspective !

        • You know, there should be a rule: “No saying such nice things so as to make the person doing the posting blush.” Thank you! 🙂

    • They are such fun, aren’t they? Maybe it’s their height and their looking at us like equals. Such a commanding presence but yet so sunny and warm.

    • Thank you! You’re correct! I love that imagery and will probably end up stealing it for a poem, for which I will give you no credit. “Originality is undetected plagiarism,” said Handel, and he should know! Hope you don’t mind. 🙂
